About the Author

I’m Lorie Huston. I’m the driving force behind the Pet Health Care Gazette as well as the Canine Health Care Corner and the Feline Health Care Corner. I am a veterinarian with over 20 years of experience with dogs and cats. I am also an expert in pet health and pet care and an experienced author/writer.

In addition to my work at the Pet Health Care Gazette, Canine Health Care Corner and Feline Health Corner, I am also the Feature Writer for Pet Care at Suite101.com and the National Pet Health Examiner at Examiner.com. I am employed full time as a veterinarian in Rhode Island, where I care for the dogs and cats in the local community.

At home, I share my house with 6 wonderful cats: Lilly, Midge, Rusty, Dillon, Rhette and Merlin. All six cats were rescued and adopted after being injured, sick and/or abandoned.
