Do you love pets? Do you enjoy blogging about them? Or talking about them on Facebook or Twitter? Have you ever dreamed of writing a book about pets? Or getting an article published in a magazine? Or maybe you just want to meet and visit with other pet lovers. Whatever your goals, there’s a good chance that BlogPaws can help you accomplish them.
What Is BlogPaws?
BlogPaws is a website, a blog, a community and a conference. BlogPaws founders Yvonne DiVita, Caroline Golon and Tom Collins wanted to create a place where pet bloggers and other pet lovers could meet and share their thoughts and stories. They wanted to present educational opportunities that would allow pet bloggers to achieve their goals, whatever those goals might be. They wanted to create an environment where pet brands could connect with pet bloggers. And they succeeded beautifully with all these goals and more.
Lessons in Blogging, Social Media, Book Writing, Pet Care and More
The BlogPaws blog is a carefully balanced mix of topics ranging from blogging and social media to pet care tips and everything in between. Want to learn how to improve your blog? There’s information here for you. Want to know how to create a book from your blog posts? BlogPaws has you covered. Pet care information? You’ll find it here. Pet rescues, animal adoption and other important animal issues? Of course those are covered here!
Network with Fellow Pet Lovers
The BlogPaws community is the perfect place to hook up with old friends and make new ones. Currently, the membership is over 475 strong and still growing. Not a member? Membership is open to all so hop over and sign up now.
More Networking, More Learning, More Growing
The upcoming BlogPaws conference is scheduled for August 25-27 in Tysons Corner, VA. This is third conference which BlogPaws has organized and promises to be even bigger and better than the previous conferences, if that’s possible. The line-up of speakers is incredible and one you won’t want to miss. Not to mention the chance to actually meet all your online friends in person, face to face. How exciting!
For me, personally, the Vet Track is terribly exciting and, this year, it has expanded to a two-day event. There is also a terrific promotion for pet bloggers. Convince your vet to attend the Vet Track and your veterinarian receives a discount on registration, plus you get to register for the BlogPaws conference free. Find out more about bringing your veterinarian to Blogpaws on the BlogPaws site.
Interview with BlogPaws Founders Yvonne DiVita and Caroline Golon
Recently, the Animal Cafe team had a chance to visit with two of the founders of BlogPaws, Yvonne DiVita and Caroline Golon. Tom Collins was, unfortunately, not able to join us. But we had a lovely discussion with Yvonne and Caroline and learned a bit about their backgrounds, their goal in creating BlogPaws, their vision for the future of Blogpaws and much more. Listen in to the interview. It’s very fun and informative.
And don’t forget to join us at Animal Cafe next week when we talk to Jillian Myers about CPR and first aid for pets.
