Hi, Cheryl.

Yes, the Borax is very similar to the Flea Buster products. It will work in the carpeting and furniture to kill flea larva. And yes, Dawn will kill any fleas on the pet when he is bathed. It will not provide any long-lasting effect though and fleas can reinfest your pet easily if he is exposed to them again though.

Thanks for stopping by. Good suggestions!

I had a Similar problem. So i went to the local
lowes and a worker recommended the laundry detergent Borax.
it's an all natural detergent. You sprinkle it on
your carpet and furniture and let it sit for 24
hours and then vacuum it. It works, no more problems.
As far as the kitties, try putting a touch of Dawn
dish-soap in the flea bath, it will help get rid of
the fleas off of them. It WORKED for me believe it or not.

I put borax soap on my floors and vacuum everyday for a week. I use Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution on my dogs (depends on my dogs some are sensitive to certain medications) I have had no fleas at all in my house and where I live when you walk outside you will get a flea on you.
