@Natural Dog Products: LOL…I’m not too sure about plants either But positive non-aversive training definitely works for species other than dogs. It can be used for cats, horses, even chickens. And probably many other types of animals as well.

I admire and respect people who approach behavior management with sensitivity and positive reinforcement. I recall having a rabbit who like these animals responded to my training through the family title of the rabbit whisperer. It works regardless of animal, human or possibly, though not proven to me, plant.

I think you have provided a fair summary of the pros and cons of Caesar Millan’s training methods. I would never recommend them because I think they are unnecessarily rough. There are other ways to achieve the goals without traumatizing the dog or endangering the owner. I do believe that most dogs benefit from both exercise and the time spent with their owners during that exercise.
