Firstly, it is extremely important to trim your dogs toenails.I have seen several dogs with toenails that have not been trimmed. it is a horrible sight. They get so long that they curl around and mangle the dogs paw. The dog can be almost crippled. I have seen many dogs limping because their toenails were digging into their paws. If you are too squeamish to do it yourself, please have a veterinarian do it for you. It is not that expensive and you a doing a world of good for your dog.
